At the time of construction, The UK Supreme Court, London was one of the country’s most prestigious construction projects, the pinnacle of the UK judicial system. The project involved major structural alterations to construct a modern court building with consideration to the Grade II listed façades and features of the existing building. Working alongside various stakeholders, including English Heritage, Halsion co-ordinated the services around the building’s historical features to complete a sympathetic but effective installation.
Halsion completed various mechanical and electrical systems, including low noise cooling systems within the court chambers and a bespoke security and access control system. The building was formerly the Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court and is located on London’s Parliament Square.
